Allah's Pleasure is Enough

The news, that in school will be organized some courses in subject that some children had shown poor results, spread fast. Lavderim and Hasan were to close friends and hard workers. In the same time, they were sincere and well mannered, in every way they were distinguished among other pupils. They had no need for the courses that will be opened, but with good intention to help their friends and make the job easy, somehow, for the teachers, they decided to join these courses.

Unfortunately, these two friends were from poor families, so after school they were obligated to work at home, and especially help their fathers in daily work. Courses were carried out in evening. Since they had to do their homework, a great sacrifice was need too. They had decided to help their brothers through the opened courses without any payment, but for the sake of Allah Almighty alone. We will face this too. After school to work and then again to school to take part in the courses. After that, returning home to do their homework. They must wake up early to perform the Sabah prayer and then to go to school.

- O Allah, help us! – Prayed both of them.

In the beginning everything was going well. They didn’t feel tiredness. A couple of weeks after, other pupils started to catch up with their studies, but they didn’t show any respect to the two friends. They, even, started to show contempt for them. This made Hasan tired and saddened him. One day he said to Lavderim:

- Brother Lavderim! I cannot stand anymore. We are going to school and helping our families at home, and now we are going to the courses to help our friends. They are not only disrespectful, but have even started to make fun of us!

Lavderim, heedfully heard his closed friend and said to him:

- O Hasan, my brother! For who is the work and sacrifice we are doing?

- For the sake of Allah, and to gain His pleasure, – replied Hasan

- Then, o my brother, why to sadden for those who are disrespectful or for those who make fun of us! Allah’s pleasure is enough for us and we need nothing else beside it. We will continue our duty.
