If they said: “It is a Camel”
An
old man saw a fox that was running way very fast. He asked her:
-
What is with you? Are you in danger?
The
fox, after taking a deep breath, replied:
-
Yes, I am in a great danger. I have heard that the camels are being gathered to
be loaded.
The
old man, astonishingly, said:
-
O fox! – Does it seem to you that you are a camel that you are being afraid?
The
fox shook her head, saw the man, and said:
-
Don’t say like that! We don’t know. There might come out a slanderer,
who points to me and say: “Here is a camel!” Poor me! Because until it will
be verified that I am not a camel, they will have stripped my skin. Haven’t
you heard the words of the wise man saying:
“Go
away from the marks of the slander, that even if you are no caught buy the
slander, its spills will leave marks on you.”
