The
Truth with the Name “Death”
It
was a hot summer day. It was sweltering hot and everybody had taken shelter as
they could. The neighborhood was plunged in a very rare quietness. An old man in
seeing that the time for prayer was near, started to prepare for it. After he
was ready, he slowly took his way to the mosque. A kid who crossed the road,
running toward the mosque, accidentally, hit the old man. The old man said to
him:
-
My son! Why are you running so fast? Do you have any problem? Why are you
rushing?
-
I am going to mosque, uncle.- Answered the kid who was breathing very fast.
-
Ooo, who beautiful! So young and you are going to mosque, - said the old man.
After
taking a deep breath, the kid said:
-O
uncle! In this thing, is there a difference between young and old? Yesterday
died a kid younger than me. The truth with the name “Death” in it doesn’t
differentiate between young and old. Everyone, without calculating the age,
should prepare for the death.
The
old man was astonished and started to talk with himself:
“What
an amaze! What adults, should consider, is practiced by a kid!
Glory
to you, o Allah! The guidance is in Your hands!”
