The Yellow Cow
The
old woman, Aisha had planted some beans in her garden. Since the weather was
clear, the beans soon started to grow.
One
day, the bellowing voice of a cow, quickly brought her out of the house. What to
see! The yellow cow of the neighbor had entered the garden and stepped on the
newly grown beans.
The
old woman was confused and saw that all of her efforts on that garden had gone
in vain. Seeing the cow staying on the entrance of the garden, she too a stab
and rushed towards the cow.
In
that moment, the neighbor’s wife came and with a sadden voice started to tell
Aisha:
-
Poor cow! Yesterday, its calf died. Since morning, it broke the chain three
times and left house to search for its calf.
On
hearing these words, old woman’s stab dropped down. She started to fold the
yellow cow’s head that had come near them.
-
Even this poor thing feels sadness for its child, -said Aisha. In mean time she
had forgotten about the beans.
The
good behavior of old woman, Aisha is well connected to the words of our Prophet,
peace be upon him, when saying:
“Have
mercy for those on earth, to have mercy for you those who are in the heaven.”
